May You Live Longer, Alia Tells Babangida
As former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida commemorates eighty fourth (84th) birthday anniversary today, Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State wishes the retired military leader a longer journey of life on earth.
The release signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS) Tersoo Kula noted that the Governor prayed "for more of God's sustenance and strength" to the 'octogenarian' whose experience believably serves as reservoir for the emerging leaders to enrich themselves with knowledge.
According to the release, Alia described Babangida's 84 years of birth as "those of outstanding accomplishments and great personal fulfilment." It stressed "attaining such an age shows God's grace, benevolence and mercies" and also acknowledged the historical role the former military President played by shaping the political and economic development of the country.
The statement noted that the Governor has joined families friends and millions of other Nigerians to felicitate Babangida on his 84th birthday anniversary.
